Quadro Concepts designs, develops, and manufactures outdoor kitchen systems to high aesthetic, quality and environmental standards in Australia. Social and environmental responsibility is embedded in our use of steel and porcelain only, for ease of recycling, in keeping with our zero plastics policy and our focus on material longevity.

Environmentally, Quadro minimises waste and carbon impact through local manufacturing and flat-pack transport. Our material palette—recyclable porcelain and steel containing a minimum of 70% recycled content—avoids plastics and supports circularity. Longevity of our product is embedded in each stage, from durable construction, repairability, and our Take Back Program, which encourages reuse and responsible end-of-life outcomes.

Our mission is to set a new benchmark for outdoor product design, and to demonstrate how modularity, sustainability, and architectural integrity can coexist. We are passionate about contributing to a more sustainable and design-conscious built environment in Australia and internationally, minus the hype and greenwash.

WATER JET CUTTING

All porcelain used in our kitchens is water jet cut by our stone masons in Melbourne, which means no hazardous waste, fumes, or pollutants are produced in the cutting process. The use of cold water means the porcelain is not subjected to heat exposure, and debris is eliminated by the water pressure, minimising hazardous gas emissions. Water jets perforate most materials without the need for starting holes, which minimises wastage of raw materials due to the small cutting kerf width.

TAKE BACK PROGRAM

As part of Quadro’s self-imposed policy of ‘Extended Producer Responsibility’ (EPR), Quadro will take back products for reuse and recycling at the end of their useful life to minimise environmental impact. Quadro will collect and disassemble the kitchen elements, and reuse components after cleaning & refinishing. Items that cannot be reused are fully recycled through established local recycling service providers.
